Uniquely-Abled Professional Development Event

Join us on Friday, December 6, 2019 to learn about best practices for supporting students with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the challenges they face when seeking internships and employment, and some unique benefits of neurodiverse individuals. We will explore this topic with two speakers and an interactive panel.

Our Speakers:
Angela Moureau, is the Assistant Director of Student Services & Coordinator of Student Accessibility Services at MSOE.   In addition to working directly with students on the spectrum, she has done numerous professional development training sessions to help educate faculty and staff at MSOE on the unique needs and strengths of this population.
Matt Juzenas is the Creative Director at Islands of Brilliance/Brilliant Studios, where he guides neurodiverse talent through design and production projects in an integrated work environment.
Panel Discussion:
Angela will moderate a panel discussion and guide audience questions with an MSOE student, an employer, a job developer, and a college professional who devlelops curricula for ASD students transitioning into internships and employment.

    Enter at: 221 E Juneau Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202 (Map)Directions to MSOE:Map

    From the North (via I-43)

    Take I-43 south to downtown Milwaukee. Then take Highway 145 east/McKinley Avenue exit (exit # 73A). Turn left (east) on McKinley; proceed for about six blocks. Turn right on Broadway to the specific building or parking lot on campus.

    From the North (via 41/45)

    Take Highway 41 south to Milwaukee; then take I-94 east to downtown Milwaukee; then take I-43 north toward Green Bay (exit # 310B; then take Highway 145 east/McKinley Avenue exit (exit # 73A). Proceed on McKinley for about six blocks. Turn right on Broadway to the specific building or parking lot on campus.

    From the South

    Take I-94 west/I-43 north to downtown Milwaukee. Continue north on I-43, then take Highway 145 east/McKinley Avenue exit (exit # 73A). Proceed on McKinley for about six blocks. Turn right on Broadway to the specific building or parking lot on campus.

    From the West

    Take I-94 east to downtown Milwaukee; then take I-43 north toward Green Bay (exit # 310B); 794; then take Highway 145 east/McKinley Avenue exit (exit # 73A). Proceed on McKinley for about six blocks. Turn right on Broadway to the specific building or parking lot on campus.
