In response to employers and colleges desire for more professional development rather than just networking time, MACIC added a panel discussion to its annual Celebrate Internships! Employer Appreciation Event for the second time this year. MACIC members and company representatives gained ideas on how to recruit and support diverse candidates. Panelists were Luke Avissato from GE Healthcare, Anita Mogaka, a student from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Christine Roehling of Rockwell Automation, and Elizabeth Stenz of Manpower. Topics discussed included affinity groups, UWM’s Panther Foundations for Success program, GE’s Veterans Network, cultural inclusion, and more. Thank you to the panelists for your insights!
