DESCRIPTION:The Milwaukee Area College Internship Consortium (MACIC) invites you to join our upcoming Professional Development event on Friday\, December 8th from 8:30am–10:30am\, with breakfast and casual networking beginning at 8:00am. This in-person event will focus on Conversations on Artificial Intelligence and will be hosted on-site with one of our wonderful employer partners\, Baird\, at their Conference Center on the 29th Floor of the U.S. Bank building in downtown Milwaukee. \nHigher education professionals and internship recruiters/managers are welcome to join the conversation! Please RSVP here if you wish to attend. \nThere is no doubt that AI has already begun to impact the student internship experience\, and that generative tools like ChatGPT are just the start. While we acknowledge that none of us has all the answers\, we’d like to take this opportunity to come together to share our insights\, questions\, excitement\, and perhaps even apprehension about the advent of AI as it relates to the internship experience. \nHear from a panel of students about their experience with — and feelings about — the use of Artificial Intelligence in internship contexts; connect with higher ed professionals and internship managers/recruiters during round table discussions; and view a live demo of how AI can support students’ internship application experience with a walk-through of one such tool\, the Big Interview platform. \nAgenda: \n8:00-8:30am – Breakfast at Baird: As folks arrive\, enjoy casual networking and a full breakfast buffet\, compliments of Baird \n8:30-8:40am – Welcome address by MACIC PD Chair & Welcome from our hosts at Baird \n8:40-9:10am – Student Panel \n9:10-9:50am – Table Discussions \n9:50-10:05am – Wrap-Up / Share out from table discussions \n10:05-10:30am – AI Spotlight: Big Interview Demo \nWe hope to see you there!
